The player begins in the hometown of Pallet Town. After the high grass begins alone, the player stops Toll professor, a famous Pokémon researcher. Professor Oak explains to the player that the wild Pokémon can live there and stay alone can be very dangerous. The player goes to his lab where the player meets the oak’s grandson, a real rival Pokémon trainer. The player and his opponent are instructed to choose a starting Pokémon for Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charmander. The owl’s grandson always chooses Eevee, which is stronger than the player’s original Pokémon. Then he attacks a Pokémon fighter with the newly acquired Pokémon and continues to fight the player at certain points during the game. When you visit the cities of the region, the player will meet special institutions called Fitness Courses. Within these buildings are the coach leaders, each of whom must win a total of eight gymnastic badges in a Pokémon battle. After getting badges, players can enter the Indigo Ligabe, which is the best Pokémon in the region. There, the player will fight against Elite Four and finally the new champion: the rival of the player. In addition, during the game, the player must fight Team Rocket, the forces of the criminal organization that abuse the Pokémon. There are several plans to steal the rare Pokémon that the player has to block.
